i like the word numinous a lot.also, i liked the movie melancholia, despite it not being a black and white foreign film.  i like the idea of a mainstream movie pushing this acceptance of your own utter worthlessness (beyond, ya know, being nice, as in kind to your fellow worthless ones), cause i feel like they usually do the oppposite.  and it reminds me of ‘pale blue dot,’ by carl sagan, which i was just reading the other eve.
